Bald Range Wildfire Update

Reopening August 23, 2026 @ 11am

The evacuation order for Greata Ranch was lifted on Sunday afternoon (August 16th) allowing us to return to the winery on Monday. We are extremely fortunate that there was no destruction and power was restored quickly last Friday enabling us to get ready to open our doors. We are working hard so we can welcome guests back to our Wine Shop and 19 Bistro @ Fitz for this Sunday, August 23rd.

We are back tending to our vines, preparing wines for bottling and getting ready for Harvest 2026. We have sent grape samples for testing and have prepared a new harvest plan to avoid grape skin contact, if smoke taint is a concern. A big shoutout to our small but mighty team at Fitz who have demonstrated incredible grace, resilience and dedication under very trying circumstances.

Our ongoing appreciation to all the fire fighters, first responders and emergency crews who continue to battle this beast of a wildfire. As I write this message three water bombers are swooping down to scoop more water in front of Greata to douse the flames. And to our neighbours in Summerland we keep our fingers crossed that your return home is better than feared.

I wish to share a wonderful gesture by Jeremy Pott of Cascadia Liquor on Vancouver Island who placed a very large order for our wines and other Summerland wineries. Cascadia will be featuring our wines in all of their stores right through autumn – #Summerlandstrong!

We’re Open for the Season!

We’re excited to welcome you back to 19 Bistro @ Fitz for another season in the Okanagan.

We are now open for lunch service daily (now including Saturdays!) with seatings available from 11:00 AM to 3:45 PM. Reservations are recommended, and we advise that you dress for the weather, as we have limited seating inside.

Happy Hour Has Arrived!

Join us daily from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM for Happy Hour, featuring a mix of new snacks alongside a few familiar favourites, all thoughtfully paired with drink features and special pricing by the bottle.
